I saw this great summary recently on Tylenol, otherwise known as Acetaminophen. Many patient are placed on medications that already include tylenol and do not realize it…medications such as percocet, norco…. Sometimes on top of the prescribed medication, patients take over-the-counter tylenol as well. This can lead to a higher than expected level of tylenol in the body, leading to toxicity and other complications.
Please, ALWAYS ask your physician or surgeon before supplementing the prescribed medication with over-the-counter medication. It may lead to unwanted side-effects and complications.
